We have drives to suit everyone. Don’t want to get out of the car? Then head out to Seven Mile Road and along to Salt Creek on the Princes Highway. You can get stunning lagoon and sand hill views, without getting out of the car.
If you’re feeling more active, then do the Narrung Peninsula loop, and when you get to Raukkan, leg it up to the lookout and prepare for breathtaking views of the Coorong. It truly looks like an inland sea and never fails to impress
We know we’re biased, but we have amazing walking tracks in the Coorong, with water views all the way! You can’t go wrong with a stroll by the lake at Meningie – the Yunti Ngopun Ngami is a short, interpretive trail along the foreshore, or take a longer walk on the Narrung/Warrengie loop. Feeling like a good workout? Then hit the sand hills and hike to the beach.
Foodie tragic? Then you’re in the right place to discover local produce. The seafood is incredible (Coorong Mullet, cockles and yabbies – all of which you could try catching yourself to add to the fun), and the region is famous for Black Angus beef. Just want to eat out? Enjoy a good, old fashioned country pub on the river (the Wellington Hotel has a wood burning fire in the dining room), endless choices in Langhorne Creek, or the Coorong Brewing Co. in Meningie for all-afternoon lazing.

If you’re going to stay, then spoil yourself with a cracking holiday house overlooking the water. There are still properties available, close to the track, you just need to choose your view – overlooking the Wellington Marina, the Murray River, the lake or the Coorong lagoons. Can’t decide? Then talk to us and we can answer all your questions, right down to how many wine glasses are in the cupboard!
And, we can’t finish without a mention of our favourite Coorong experience. If you only venture out of your holiday house once, then drive to one of the many Coorong beaches (which you will have all to yourselves), light a small campfire and toast some marshmallows, or just enjoy a relaxing drink by the fire. Make sure you stay to watch the sunset over the flames – can you think of anything more relaxing? We can’t.
