Community drives Adam!

The newest member of the Coorong Realty team seems to have trouble sitting still.  Never one to be doing nothing, Adam Hurle is an enthusiastic volunteer in his home town of Meningie. 

Having grown up in Meningie, Adam is now raising his two young children with his wife, Bec, and watching them thrive in a caring and safe community.

Deputy Group Officer for the Coroong Group

Adam has always been active in the community, having grown up with parents who volunteered themselves.  Adam started at the football club, as a young player running water, where he is now the Vice President.  He has also been a volunteer for the CFS for 25 years, currently serving as the Deputy Group Officer for the Coorong Group, looking after the administrative and operational needs of 15 brigades. 

‘The more you get involved, the more you get out of living in a town like Meningie,’ Adam says. ‘The town and the broader Coorong region have seen some tough times in recent years, and it never ceases to amaze me how strong and resilient the community is.  People have stuck it out through the toughest of times, especially during the Millennium drought, and now hopefully, they are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.’

After 20 years of working for a local car dealership, Adam took on the challenge of a new career in property, joining the team at Coorong Realty. ‘I’m enjoying meeting different people, and discovering the reasons why they’re into the things they are, like property investment, or business ventures.  They all have great stories and backgrounds, which is a great motivator to continue to build my own property portfolio.’  Adam is also working with the team to develop Coorong Tours, which will showcase local agricultural producers.  ‘People are going to get the opportunity to actually get on farm and take a look at what really happens behind the gate.  It’s an intimate and real look at the life of producers across the Coorong.’ And, the best thing about living in Meningie is?  ‘The people – they are the reason this is such a great town to raise a family in.’   Interested in finding out more about the Coorong?  Give Adam a call on 0439 545 193 or visit https://coorongrealty.com.au/coorong-tours/ Coorong
