Sea Change!
Rick and Monica, from Adelaide, have long been fans of the Coorong lifestyle.
Spending most weekends at their shack at Parnka Point, this adventurous duo have their eye on the horizon and a move to semi-retirement.
Rick is a general builder and commercial gyprocker by trade and he is focused on what’s next. Says Rick ‘at some point, we are going to want to slow down, but not give up work entirely, so gradually we are getting ourselves ready’.
In November, Rick and Monica settled on 80 Princes Highway, Meningie which was formerly the All Land and Livestock building.
And, while they have not yet decided what their final business will be, they are exploring a range of options.
‘The zoning, position in Meningie and proximity to Tailem Bend means that we have loads of possibilities for this site’ says Rick.
As Monica and Rick are keen divers and bush walkers and love both the outdoors and bird watching, anything is possible.
So, for Meningie it really is just a case of watching this space to see what Rick and Monica do with their sea change.
