House - Swanport SA
Having recently been faithfully restored, the former Old Swanport General Store can now be enjoyed as a peaceful retreat by the Murray River. It enjoys an enviable and rare position, with stunning views of The Murray River, river flats and the Swanport Bridge. Guests can take a short stroll to the river, and relax at waterside at the Swanport Village Reserve.

The cottage offers spacious living areas, with polished jarrah floorboards, including a well equipped kitchen, overlooking a cosy sitting area and large dining space with seating for eight people.

The adjacent lounge room has comfortable seating and large colonial windows that showcase the stunning views and allow warm, natural light to fill the room. French doors offer direct access to the spacious front balcony, the ideal place to relax and breathe the country air.

With three bedrooms, there is ample accommodation for guests. The master suite, with a queen size bed, is serviced by a large ensuite. Two further bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two singles, share a large family bathroom. All beds and bedding are newly purchased and of a very high quality.

Outside, the rear of the home offers a large undercover patio with seating, BBQ and small garden. This area is fully fenced, making it a safe space for young children to play.

The Old Swanport General Store is the perfect country retreat, located in the historic Old Swanport Village, at the end of a quiet country road by the river. Guests can enjoy the ambience of country life, yet the convenience of all amenities just a few minutes’ drive away. Water based activities can be enjoyed form the nearby reserve, including boating, swimming and kayaking.

This property enjoys easy and quick access to the South Eastern Freeway and Princes Highway. Local attractions include the river, with various public reserves, The Bend Motorsport Park (approximately 25 minutes), and the iconic Monarto Zoo (20 minutes). Nearby wine regions include Langhorne Creek (30 minutes), the Adelaide Hills (30 minutes) and the Barossa (1 hour).
