In recent years, extensive stone walling, together with a dedicated walled garden has been completed.
All the original stone walling of the house has been re-pointed & in 1957 the whole building underpinned.
The original underground tank that serviced the house is now a cellar linked to the kitchen.
Where appropriate, insulation has been provided and extensive upgrades to the electrical wiring have been completed. Broadband with the Telstra land line is connected to the property.
The homestead & the stone out-buildings have been restored with integrity.
Apart from the original fireplaces there are now the modern comforts of two separate reverse cycle split systems, gas heating, ceiling fans & a large enclosed sunny front verandah.
All windows have been barred & all doors including security screen doors have dead locks.
The original stone stables & barn remain today.
Water supply to property by mains water, with reserve storage in various tanks totalling 85,000 litres. Adequate pumping facilities are connected. In addition there is a 500kL water licence to draw water from Lake Alexandrina via windmill site. Access to Lake Alexandrina is by easement on the title.
